Description of the work
Description of the work
In the story of Shazam, a very old wizard realized that he could no longer continue to defend the world from the 7 sins, so he began to search for a successor, a champion with a pure heart to defeat evil.
Initially, "Thad" was recruited, but at the time of the test he was found to be impure, so he rejected him; but as this child grew up, he did everything he could to gain those powers unfairly and eventually succeeded.
Billy Batson, a young orphan, rejected by the world and his real family, was chosen as a champion to defeat evil in the world, becoming a superman upon pronouncing the name "Shazam".
Billy's stepbrothers were also in grave danger, so they were given the same superhero powers to defeat the enemy.
This story is familiar to me, and so I said to myself, "Fantasy is for children, but for those who seek the truth, it's another story."
(Genesis 3:14-15)
Then the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, you are cursed above all livestock and above every beast of the field. You will crawl on your belly and eat dust all the days of your life. I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will bruise your head, and you will bruise his heel.”
The battle between good and evil began right here with the fall of Adam and Eve; but God promised a "seed" who would conquer the serpent and evil in the world, offering hope and a solution to all.
The Lord spoke secretly to the prophets in the past in mysterious ways, raising many questions. But when the Messiah came to earth, he revealed everything; everything became clearer:
He sacrificed himself to give us forgiveness for our sins, and not only ours, but those of the whole world.
(1 John 2:2)
(Colossians 2:15)
Having disarmed the principalities and powers, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men (Christ Jesus), training us to deny ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a peculiar people, zealous for good works.
(Titus 2:11-14)
What we will be is not yet seen. But when Jesus returns, we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. And everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.
(1 John 3:2-3)
You who ride on white donkeys, you who sit on carpets, and you who walk along the road, hear (all):
the people gathered around the wells are telling of the victories of the Lord, the triumphs of the Lord, CHAMPION OF ISRAEL.
(Judges 5:11)
Taking away the imagination, the Champion of this world in conclusion is undoubtedly the Lord Jesus who won every battle, every sin, every illness for all of us.
