Description of the work
Description of the work
The "Still Life" genre emerged in the early 17th century. It consists of compositions of inanimate subjects, most often flowers or fruit. While initially it was an opportunity for painters to attempt a photographic reproduction of reality, with contemporary art the "Still Life" also becomes a way of interpreting reality, as it did for the Cubists or Giorgio Morandi.
Tato Svoboda's pictorial language draws inspiration from a lively naturalism. He possesses a remarkable technique that allows him to effortlessly reproduce objects, delineate them sculpturally, and seek spatial depth. He displays a very classical inclination, but his brushstrokes possess a certain impressionistic verve that gives his works immediacy and freshness. His penchant for bright, vibrant colors, full of light, also contributes to this.
Tato Svoboda is a painter whose work focuses primarily on still lifes. He approaches art in a very classical manner, with a soft naturalism tempered by a lively, impressionistic approach.
