A ROMANTIC VIEW OF THE VILLA BORGHESE TEMPLE.

My work represents the great nostalgia I have for Rome that I painted the Tempietto of Villa Borghese... a large and fascinating park where within a perimeter of six kilometers reside... museums... art galleries... a pond... romantic gardens... plants of all kinds... lawns... squares... and avenues adorned with Roman remains.
The lake garden, pleasantly secluded from the rest of the park, develops around an artificial basin and has this small Greek temple dedicated to Aesculapius, the work of 18th-century Roman architects.
There are places that call to us, perhaps even from far away. We don't know why, but even before we've seen them, we know that by following their call, we will rediscover a piece of our soul.
