RETURN FROM THE BARCOLANA

A painting commemorating the return to port after Italy's most important sailing race, the Barcolana.

They seem to say: it will be okay next time, we won't give up.
The blue of the sky covering a light sunset that is reflected in the sea, the city in the distance, only hinted at, the light blue of the sea, serve to give the main place to the boat in the foreground that hides the other confused and distant sails.
The hull and the lights reflected by the sea, the white brand on the left and the one on the right almost seem to embrace each other to make a return, as they say in Trieste: IN COMPANY.
