Description of the work
Description of the work
Marisa Grande, a former teacher of Drawing and Art History at the "De Giorgi" Scientific High School in Lecce, has been active in the art scene since the 1970s. After an initial "external collaboration" in applied art as a jewelry designer at the renowned Italian goldsmith house UNO-A-ERRE, in parallel with teaching, she developed an original language that finds its full expression in the "meta-realism" of her artistic production. Marisa Grande has made synergy between various fields of knowledge her way of life, applying interdisciplinary thinking to both teaching and art. In 1990, she launched the "Manifesto of the Synergetic-art Cultural Movement," whose goal is to build global knowledge by leveraging areas of empathy that allow rationality to be combined with creativity, science with art, and contribute to the creation of a new humanism, eliminating rigid sectoralism. His cultural production also includes books on art, poetry and pedagogy, columns, articles and multimedia activities.
