Marco Lodola - Tour Leader

Marco Lodola (Dorno, April 4, 1955) is an Italian artist. Lodola combines visual art with other disciplines: literature, music, film, and design. He began working with plastic materials early on, shaping and coloring them with a unique technique using acrylic paints. Later, his research led him to physically incorporate light into his works, resulting in his luminous sculptures , which would become a hallmark of his entire artistic output. Lodola subsequently returned to oil painting, reproducing his sculptures on canvas, often life-size: his most frequently recurring themes are dance and ballerinas, Vespas, and pin-ups, in a retro style.

“Today he is considered one of the most influential artists thanks to numerous collaborations with famous people such as Max Pezzali, Timoria, Omar Pedrini, Jovanotti, Red Ronny for Roxy Bar but also important brands such as Coca Cola, Coveri, Swatch. He also designed the Manifesto for the Turin Winter Olympics in 2006 and, last but not least, some sets for X Factor for Sky TV.”
