Description of the work
Description of the work
Artist Lea Monetti is a keen observer of reality. The painter's theme is bucolic and rural. Lea Monetti is deeply invested in the natural world; indeed, her connection with wild nature is evident in her work. The horse has a spiritual meaning, representing freedom, wisdom, and purity, manifested in the essence of an energetic and vital race. Although in this case the animals are depicted in a moment of tranquility, what is striking is the gentleness and calm of the moment, conveyed by a high-quality drawing. This acute awareness of drawing and technique was undoubtedly acquired over time by the painter thanks to the presence of Maestro Pietro Annigoni, with whom the painter, sculptor, and designer had the opportunity to interact during the 1970s when she attended free courses at the academy and the Maestro's "Scuola della Realtà" in Florence. Annigoni himself, a member of the group of "modern painters of reality," provided the foundations of drawing and technique that would make him an internationally renowned figure in the portraiture of world-famous figures. But the painter also mastered the technique to capture a personal and emotional moment that reflects the story of life. When it comes to Lea Monetti's painting style, what stands out is her reserved sensitivity to everyday life. The glimpse of bucolic life recounts the painter's daily life, immersing us in an intimate reality. Color-wise, there's no apparent shift in palette, and the brushstrokes cover the canvas evenly, with a focus on light, applying just the right amount of sheen to give the work depth. Drawing and painting intertwine, lending balance and a sense of gentleness to the canvas. The artist Lea Monetti boasts an extremely prosperous life from an artistic point of view: she was a painter, bronze sculptor, portraitist, expert in ancient techniques and fresco. Lea Monetti attended courses at the Academy of Florence and then, in the 1970s, moved on to P. Annigoni's "Scuola della Realtà" in Florence. She then worked as an assistant and restorer of the frescoes torn from B. Saetti's studio in Montepiano. She has had interesting approaches to conceptual art and material art. She has held numerous exhibitions in Italy and around the world, to name a few: She has worked independently of groups, with E. Micheli's Aldobrandeschi gallery since 1972. In 1980, she published a monograph for the S. Giorgio gallery in Mestre, presented by M. Lucchesi and G. Viviani. Since 1988, she has had an exclusive contract with the manager GB Remo Bianco, a famous and esteemed expert in contemporary painting. She has also been present at all the most representative Expos of international art together with the Bueno brothers, R. Squillantini, L. Alinari, and E. Bandelli, with an officially recognized price. She studies in Florence and Pietrasanta. His works, held in public and private museums, have been featured in prestigious exhibitions alongside historic names (Cesetti, Gentilini, Ligabue, etc.).
