THE DOME OF ST. PETER'S

I'm a believer and have always been fascinated by the Dome of St. Peter's. I painted this view with the intention of capturing a moment suspended between night and day. I chose dawn, that brief moment when the sky fills with delicate colors and the night lights are still on, as a tribute to the silent and solemn beauty of the Basilica. The golden light I applied to the statues and facades creates a contrast with the blue and turquoise hues of the sky and the dome, highlighting the majesty of the building.
The statues of the popes, shrouded in darkness and night lights, are intentionally rendered indistinct, almost ethereal.
This beauty is a heritage of all humanity.
I wanted everyone to be able to contemplate the majesty of the architecture without feeling excluded, transcending religious boundaries, thus conveying an atmosphere of peace and reflection for all.
