The girl with paper wings

Artist's note: "This work is pure poetry and continues the great artistic trend of PARALLELISM created by me and launched at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. This painting is inspired by and brings to mind Icarus and classical Greek mythology. In this case, the parallelism with the little girl with paper wings who tries to take flight from a rock overlooking the sea. All of this can be traced back on a symbolic level to the ability of children to fly with their imagination and fantasy. The image of the little girl with paper wings is extremely romantic and linked to the ability of that age to daydream. Note also the two suns that represent parallel universes, the real world and the abstract one. In some cases, there are transgressions that I call the boundaries of reality."
