Enzo Tinarelli , Alfonsine – Ra 1961, lives between Carrara, Ravenna and periodically in Bordeaux (F) where between 1991/ 2021 he held an atelier in Biganos, (33). Diploma from the State Institute of Art for Mosaic in 1980 and from the Academy of Fine Arts of Ravenna in 1984. He has taught in various Institutes and Academies. Since 1992 he has been a teacher of Ornamental Plastic and Mosaic at the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara; from 2012- 2017 he has taught on assignment; Mosaic Techniques at the Academy of Ravenna where he has created mosaic projects for public works: ( Draghiland in a residential complex in Ravenna; Esedra-Parata at the Provincial Carabinieri Barracks of Ravenna for the bicentenary; Homage to Ruggero Pascoli, (Accademia Pascoliana) mosaic on the Via Emilia San Mauro Pascoli. Since the 1980s, he has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows in Italy and abroad, in public spaces and private galleries. His aesthetic interests range from experimentation with pictorial and plastic languages, with particular and intense activity in the field of artistic mosaic, the latter developed in various research fields: educational, applied, and experimental. He has organized specific conferences and lectures on mosaic as a contemporary aesthetic re-possibility . He collaborates with artists and designers on their mosaic projects. In the 1990s, he collaborated with theater director Ezio Cuoghi and Giorgio Celli on three experimental shows at the Video Art Center in Ferrara and the Department of Physics in the same city. He has organized exhibitions and edited publications as a curator: at the In Beccheria gallery in Carrara of mosaic works; Sergio Cicognani at the Ravenna Academy, and gall NiArt; Obernai Biennial (F); Mosaics by students of the Ravenna Academy, Noapléon, by Jean Gaudaire-Thor at Palazzo Binelli in Carrara. Numerous art historians and critics have written about his work in solo and group catalogs, articles, and reviews. He has held 50 solo exhibitions and 200 group exhibitions in various countries.
