Towards Sunset – Oil on Canvas – Antonio Bernardi

Towards Sunset is an oil on canvas by Antonio Bernardi from 2000, 50 x 40 cm. The landscape scene conveys a warm and luminous atmosphere at sunset, with a sober and pleasant decorative quality.

• The Dream of Nature: The work depicts a serene river landscape in which the lush vegetation and small hidden roofs are gently reflected on the rippled surface of the water.

• Light and Color: The bright blue sky opens downwards with warm and golden shades, foreshadowing the typical light of the evening hours. The dense and vibrant brushstrokes enhance the bright tones of green and ochre of the trees.

• The Atmosphere: There is a sense of profound quiet and harmony, where the clarity of the water reflection amplifies the bucolic tranquility of the natural landscape.
