Vase of Blue Flowers (1998)

In Vaso di fiori blu (1998), an oil on canvas measuring 120x80 cm, Antonio Bernardi creates a visually striking still life, where color takes center stage.
The vibrant bouquet of blue flowers stands triumphantly in the center, enclosed in a decorated vase that highlights their freshness.
The work is a refined play of chromatic contrasts: the cool tones of the flowers are enhanced by the orange and white checkered tablecloth, whose floral patterns echo nature, and by the warm, blurred background.
The arrangement of the objects, with the garlic and other elements in the background, lends depth and complexity to the composition.
