Artist Biography:

Valentino Marra is an Italian painter and sculptor born in 1956 in Martano, in the province of Lecce. After studying at the “Gioacchino Toma” Institute of Art and the Lecce Academy of Fine Arts, he began his artistic career in the 1980s, participating in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad. 

His work ranges from painting to sculpture and printmaking, with a style that combines elements of figurative tradition with contemporary and pop influences. His works are often characterized by a strong emotional and symbolic component, with particular attention to the female figure and icons of modern culture. 

During his career, he has also created sacred works, such as altarpieces in churches in Salento, complementing this production with a more personal and introspective exploration. His works are exhibited at contemporary art fairs and galleries and are part of private and public collections
