Transparencies

Transparencies — Panpastel and Carbotello on Pastelmat Cardstock by Lucia Battagliola

A lemon hides behind a glass pitcher: the light passes through it, distorts it, and reveals it. In Transparencies, Lucia Battagliola explores the optical magic of transparent materials using a mixed media technique of rare delicacy—Panpastel and Carbotello on Pastelmat cardstock—capable of capturing every reflection, every glaze, and every nuance of diffused light.

A work that invites us to pause and truly look, discovering the hidden beauty in everyday objects.
