Staderini - Untitled

The "Still Life" genre emerged in the early 17th century. It consists of compositions of inanimate subjects, most often flowers or fruit. While initially it was an opportunity for painters to attempt a photographic reproduction of reality, with contemporary art the "Still Life" also becomes a way of interpreting reality, as it did for the Cubists or Giorgio Morandi.

Staderini's painting style is based on a very traditional conception of artistic creation. As we can see in this work, his language is fundamentally figurative. Staderini, however, manages to embrace reality with a personal, almost naive interpretation, simplifying the perceptible world. To this end, the painter uses a pictorial layering that strips away elements while imbuing them with a pictorial quality charged with existential vibrations.

From an analysis of his works, we can conclude that Staderini is an artist with a fairly classical conception of painting. His favorite subjects are landscapes and still lifes. In other works, however, Staderini does not shy away from a more experimental and expressionist approach.
