Landscape has always been a central theme in artistic research, both as a setting, as a backdrop, and as a subject itself. The naturalistic depiction of landscape has been an artist's aspiration throughout the centuries. Each historical period has offered its own interpretation of landscape, contributing to the evolution of its depiction: first with an exploration of space, through Brunelleschi's perspective in the early Renaissance, then with atmospheric rendering in the sixteenth century, up until the depiction of every single vibration of light on objects in Impressionism.

In this work, the painter Staderini seems to vary the landscape theme with an experimental approach. The view seems to have a more symbolic than naturalistic value. This is also evident on a formal level, as the color palette reflects expressionism rather than landscape. The brushwork is also very synthetic, with the objects constructed with a nervous, tormented brushstroke.

From an analysis of his works, we can conclude that Staderini is an artist with a fairly classical conception of painting. His favorite subjects are landscapes and still lifes. In other works, however, Staderini does not shy away from a more experimental and expressionist approach.
