Sister Moon and the Stars – Oil on canvas – Mirella Anna Renne

The painting was created for an exhibition dedicated to St. Francis.
The Saint is portrayed in a traditional manner, reaching out to welcome the dove, a symbol of peace; the blue sky, emphasizing the painting's profound spiritual significance, is filled with light emanating from the moon and the stars, whom, as creatures of God, he called "sisters".
The light created by the gold leaf and glitter draws the viewer's attention, as does the word "charitas" rendered in red glitter.

The sacred subject is interpreted with contemporary sensitivity and a sense of quiet devotion. Dimensions: 50x70 cm.
