Simona De Arcangelis - Ligurian Landscape

I began painting as a self-taught artist, reproducing copies of famous paintings, having always had a passion for art. Since 2013, I have been a student of the International Art Master Mario Salvo, specializing in palette knife painting and layering, a technique that is still little explored but allows me to represent the world of color in all its vibrations on canvas. In 2016, I joined the Italian Pentastrattismo movement, which aims to exalt the use of color, geometric shapes, freedom of action and brushstroke—that is, the pure instinct of the artist expressed without constraints or pressure from anyone.
