Abstract - Silvio Formichetti

A chromatic field that expands beyond the boundaries of form: abstraction as a pure language.

Abstract is an oil painting from 2022 in which Silvio Formichetti explores the territory of abstraction with a large-format composition — 100 × 99 cm, almost perfectly square — that occupies the space with authority. Color is the absolute protagonist: layers, tensions, chromatic balances are built on the surface with a controlled gesture and a mature compositional sensitivity. A work capable of dialoguing with prestigious contemporary environments, from private homes to representative spaces.
