Sergio Franceschi - The Fisherman

His language, his style, is so distinctive that it makes him immediately recognizable and different from others. His way of presenting men, women, and nature, altering their features, as if to better highlight their feelings, allows his canvases to reveal symbolic figures, dreams, and realities that blur together.

. . . Essentially, his works are not constructions but visions, he creates a world of its own, with its own coherence and consistency, arriving at changing certain interpretative modes of surrealism more on an emotional level than on a formal one: through the language of painting, his message goes beyond pure sign and pure color.

. . . Sergio Franceschi's works clearly demonstrate the most pressing issues facing humanity today. They are life-and-death issues, yet imbued with the hope that humanity never abandons. Each painting is a clear testimony, a precise analysis of the dilemmas that rage within. Franceschi's work has a meaning: the recovery of humanity and nature, both violated by our time.
