Description of the work
Description of the work
The artistic practice of Tuscan painter Sergio Billeri is characterized by a playful and creative approach that leads him to rework the perceptible world into magical and colorful forms. The black line is the expressive medium with which the painter geometrically breaks down reality, tracing surreal, almost caricatural subjects, or creating refined abstract compositions. Color then intervenes to fill the fields created by this rational process, bringing all its magic. The compact, enamel-like brilliance of his brushstrokes transforms Billeri's works into an interplay of backgrounds and chromatic balances, always driven by the lively verve that is his trademark.
