Glimpse of the house

Original work by Michele Praticò (1951–2022), an artist with international exhibitions in Vienna, Madrid, and New York. Work available – Artist archive

In the painting, Master Praticò depicts the movement of nature with colors and textures that create harmony, bringing our deepest and most serene memories to life and allowing us to imagine, for a moment, leaving everyday life behind and immersing ourselves in the sweet fragrance of pure and noble thoughts.
One of the most striking features of the painting “Scorcio di casa” is the use of contrasting colors that give the artwork a sense of movement and energy.
The symbolism, as in all of Master Michele Praticò's works, is also rich. The colors of the flowers and the tree with its thick trunk symbolize time and the cycle of life. Other esoteric symbols are evoked but left to the viewer's interpretation.

Miche Praticò is a painter-poet.
His canvases offer stunning examples of painting transformed into poetry. A poetry expressed through clear, soft drawing, rendered with mastery and sensitivity, supported by the artist's fresh imagination and inexhaustible inner strength, allowing him to present nature with its infinite chromatic resources, distant horizons, and the wonders of flora and fauna: a reflection of a world that speaks to the sensitive soul in a barely whispered voice, yet no less profound.
This is why Master Praticò conceives painting as a new journey, which he approaches with commitment, clarity, and method—not with the desecrating fervor employed by so many, but with the purifying lucidity of a man naturally drawn to the pursuit of beauty and freedom, and above all, of truth, where there is room only for dreams and hope.
This interpretation of certain values ensures that Michele Praticò's pictorial themes are translated into images in which the subjects of his paintings are always united in a harmonious composition, linked together in the scene and its narrative. Even the color that shapes them, sometimes overflowing into hazy, nebulous areas, helps to further unite the figures in the paintings.
The most evident meaning of this painting lies in the determination to capture the moment depicted as both a moment of purpose and a moment of conclusion. The naturalistic element is present in the diverse pictorial expressions of Michele Praticò's work, serving as its predominant feature and most figuratively engaged element.
