Sara Senesi - Thinker

Sara Senesi is an artist who lives and works in Acquaviva Picena. She has always had a passion for painting and attended the Art Institute. Dedicated to her profession, she put art aside for a time, but has recently returned to painting. Sara Senesi's artistic output includes an interesting selection of master copies, as well as original works. Her choice of models already provides insight into the painter's stylistic direction and poetics. In her beautiful reproductions of paintings by Scottish artist Jack Vettriano and Tamara De Lempicka, we can see that Sara Senesi's primary interest lies in the exaltation of formal values in harmonious and balanced compositions. The painter demonstrates her ability to make her models her own, both in reproducing the magical realism of Vettriano and the plastic exuberance of De Lempicka. This is achieved through an excellent technique that sees drawing as a crucial element in creating a structure that enhances the subjects' volumes. This technique also sees the painting's natural completion in a layering of color that avoids excessive atmospheric effects, thus highlighting those same volumes with hyper-realistic clarity. Also crucial in this regard is the contribution of light, which expands clearly throughout the entire work. These are the same characteristics found in Sara Senesi's original paintings, where the plastic and formal exaltation, achieved through perfect reproduction from life and excellent painting technique, are the key features.
