Trivelloni Romolo – Painter (Ronciglione, 18 August 1917 – Rome, 14 April 1974)

A public security sergeant, he began painting as a self-taught artist in 1939, but only debuted in 1956 with a solo exhibition at the Galleria del Vantaggio, introduced by Domenico Purificato. He subsequently entered numerous competitions (the Latina Prize, the Arezzo Prize, the Avezzano Prize, the Foggia Prize, and the Michetti Prize), winning first prize in the Riviera del Conero Prize in Ancona. He also took part in group exhibitions, such as the Rome Quadrennial, the Maggio di Bari, and the Rome and Lazio Artists' Exhibition; After his debut in 1959, he held solo exhibitions almost annually: in 1960 in Chieti, at the Bottega d'Arte, presented by Giuseppe Sciortino; in 1961 in Verona, at the Galleria Ghelfi and in Rome at the Galleria del Vantaggio; in 1962 in Arezzo, at the Galleria dell'Incontro; in 1963 in Biella, at the Circolo degli Artisti; in 1964 in Naples, at the Galleria La Barcaccia; in 1965 in Rome, at the Galleria Russo, presented by Giuseppe Sciortino; in 1967 in Chianciano, at the Centro d'Arte La Barcaccia; in 1969 in Rome, at the Galleria La Barcaccia; and in 1973 – shortly before his untimely death – again in Rome, at the Galleria Russo. He was also an engraver, and his works can be found in the Galleria d'Arte Moderna in Rome, the Galleria Comunale in Arezzo, and the Pinacoteca in Chieti.
