ROCK IS DEAD

Paul Cuck, the artistic name of Paolo Cucco, was born in Bergamo in 1973. A versatile and creative artist, he has become known for his ability to shape plastic and other materials, bringing surprising works to life. His art stems from a deep reflection on air and energy, which, as he himself states, represent the starting point of his creative process. Air, a symbol of an intangible and volatile element, is "shaped" by his artistic sensibility, transforming smooth and soulless surfaces into curved forms, folds, and unique creations. The artist maintains that, just as air over time shapes the surface of the Earth, his art can give new life to apparently inert materials. Alongside his artistic career, Paul Cuck has developed extensive experience in the world of television, working as a writer, collaborating with major Italian presenters, and creating successful formats. This experience helps him develop an innovative vision, capable of uniting the world of design with that of visual art, allowing him to create works that are true extrusions, objects that contain energy and movement. His passion for art took shape in his early years with the creation of handmade lamps, unique pieces created by transforming everyday plastic objects. Over time, his technique evolved: he began using ABS and PP sheets, hot-forming them and covering them with colored metal foil to create extrusions that evoke dynamism and modernity. His works are often accompanied by meaningful themes and concepts. "Love" and "Rock" represent universal feelings that unite everyone, much like pop. Flags, on the other hand, are symbols of history and identity, telling the story of peoples united under a single cause. Paul Cuck manages to translate these concepts into a visual language that goes beyond simple form, creating works that stimulate reflection and offer new perspectives on matter and energy, inviting the viewer to explore and perceive the hidden dynamism in even the simplest materials.
