Renato Sartoretto - The First Time

Renato Sartoretto is a painter we might define as an existentialist. A poet of simple and intimate episodes, he manages to convey the complexity of existence even in the most humble and seemingly insignificant gestures. Sartoretto captures reality in unexpected moments that, transfigured by his hand, reveal their full lyrical and expressive potential. The existential complexity of Sartoretto's subjects coincides, in fact, with a pictorial complexity that is evident both in the application of color and in the formal rendering.
