Description of the work
Description of the work
The painting Red Shoes presents a scene that combines simple elements with a strong symbolic charge. In the foreground, two small shoes in vibrant tones stand out, resting on a surface dotted with spots and colors. Around them, flowers, colorful fabrics, and a structure that could resemble a backrest or a frame can be seen, from which multicolored ribbons hang. The whole evokes a theatrical or childlike atmosphere, like a childhood memory or a fragment suspended between dream and memory.
The style is free and gestural, with quick and decisive brushstrokes the artist does not seek realism but aims for expressiveness and color that dominates the entire scene the outlines are soft, almost suggested, while the color fields are vivid and contrasting the shoes stand out for their bright red and the drips that seem to make them look alive or newly worn the colored ribbons and bright tones create a sense of movement and lightness in contrast with the dark and compact background that makes the main subjects stand out even more.
