Raffandrè - Landscape

Born in the Venetian hinterland in 1945 to a French father, Raffandrè attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. In this city of art, a magnet for artists from around the world, Raffandrè came into contact with renowned masters, under whose guidance he underwent a rigorous artistic apprenticeship. His unique aptitude for painting allowed him to quickly master drawing and watercolor techniques, before finally switching to oil painting. He then moved to Paris, where he spent several years studying the Impressionist paintings, which he greatly admired and which most closely matched his strong-willed nature and love of sunny tones. His palette features iridescent colors; farmhouses, ill-defined white spots, stand out against the soft hues of nature; his still lifes are reminiscent of those of the French school. Returning to Italy with a renewed energy and a wealth of experience, he participated in group exhibitions of national importance, garnering positive public and critical acclaim.
