Description of the work
Description of the work
The subject matter and method of representation can be compared to the Naïve movement. The Naïve artist is by definition self-taught, someone who hasn't attended an art school but has found inspiration within themselves. Stylistically, this translates into figurative painting that offers a simplified interpretation of reality, with infantile and unconsciously primitivist overtones. However, even the Naïve artist, in his spontaneity, possesses a self-awareness that leads him to develop a very specific aesthetic language, distinguishing it from amateurism.
All of Udine's artist Pirac's work is directed toward a pursuit of purity and simplicity, both in communication and form. His subjects can truly be described as naive, given the painter's instinctive choice of the most direct form to convey his messages. Pirac finds a profound symbolic value in his works, as they engage any viewer in a unifying message, whether of peace or love. This echoes the instinctive nature of his creations, which leads him to use unusual materials or even transcend the two-dimensionality of the medium to further engage the viewer.
Ennio Pirac is an artist born in Udine in 1958. He is a painter who has always displayed a marked naive attitude in his style. His desire to seek simplicity of communication in his representation is evident, with the aim of imbuing his artwork with the unifying values of purity and innocence.
