Pietro Vanni - Teenagers

The subject of Pietro Vanni's work, "Adolescenti", represents a young girl, portrayed in a moment of solitude and introspection. The figure of the girl is captured while she is standing in front of a window, her intense and melancholic gaze turned outwards, as if she were observing a world that appears distant or unreachable to her.

The style of the work is precise and detailed, characterized by the use of black and white which emphasizes the expressive power of the shadows and lights. The choice of black and white accentuates the emotional and visual contrast between the figure of the girl and the surrounding environment, creating a play of light that underscores her solitude and detachment from the outside world.

Pietro Vanni was a painter originally from Terzone di Leonessa, where he was born in 1925 and passed away in 2002. Self-taught, for a long time he divided himself between his artistic vocation and that for social activities as a leader of a Catholic-inspired workers' movement. Finally, he will choose to dedicate himself completely to art, training in Rome with Prof. Manzano. He exhibited his works in several exhibitions, including the Sacred Art Biennale of Bologna, where he achieved considerable success.
