Paolo Rocchi - Landscape

Born in Milan in 1958

He graduated in medicine and specialized in surgery. While practicing his profession, he met a patient who introduced him to painting (Maestro Franco Giuliano, the artist who has created public works, including at the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan). Giuliano taught him the rudiments of the profession and became his greatest friend. He thus began painting, never forgetting the medical profession that accompanies him every day. Throughout his artistic career, which began as a figurative art form, he has succeeded in combining both figurative and abstract art, which often expresses the artist's state of mind. He draws inspiration from Modigliani when he paints portraits and Van Gogh when he paints landscapes. In any case, he always strives to use bright colors, eschewing dark tones, although he has occasionally created black and white works that evoke the joy of snowfall.

He has held solo exhibitions in Milan and its province.

He has exhibited at the Flyerart Gallery in Rome, the Area Contesa Arte Gallery in Rome, and the First Prize at the International Art Awards in Palermo 2018.
