In Or-Sith, the figure of the tawny owl transcends mere naturalistic representation to take on a symbolic and archetypal dimension. The animal emerges from a threshold of darkness, suspended in a rarefied space where light and matter engage in a subtle dialogue.
The gold leaf is not a decorative element, but a conceptual device: it traces a line of revelation across the subject, evoking an intuitive, ancient, almost oracular knowledge.
The frontal gaze establishes a direct relationship with the viewer, reversing roles and transforming the work into a field of mutual perception.
Or-Sith is part of the Goldenline series as a visual investigation into the boundary between the visible and the invisible, between animal identity and inner projection.
