All this appears and strikes us in the works of Gaetano Memmo, an Abruzzese artist, born in Chieti in 1928.
His works are imbued with an opaque atmosphere and populated by figures trapped within dense networks of gazes and dead-end thoughts.
His paintings tell us about women, and only women, young and fascinating, with serious faces and suggestive glances, as if he wanted to tell us about an intimate, particular and hidden world.
