In this work, the everyday and intimate object, a garter belt, undergoes a poetic and visual metamorphosis, transforming into a floating jellyfish. Through the etching technique, the straps and metal hooks lose their functional rigidity to become light and organic tentacles that flow downwards, simulating movement in water. The heart of the structure expands and softens into a diaphanous umbrella, similar to a gelatinous dome, where the dense textures of the original fabric now evoke the translucent consistency of biological tissues. At the top, the lace floral motif, previously a static ornament, blooms like the pulsating central core of the marine organism, radiating life. The work is a play of transparencies and contrasts, where the white and silver marks, emerging from the dark background, seem to emit a faint bioluminescence. It is a reflection on the fluidity of form, where the intimate object frees itself from the body to become pure marine vision. The inert becomes alive, revealing a hidden essence among the folds of everyday life.
