Lucia Nardelli - Complementarity 1

Lucia Nardelli (Bolzano 1948) graduated in Sociology, with a focus on economics and law, in Trento in 1972 with a research thesis on “relationships between urban structure and interethnic relations in Bolzano”. Passionate about art, she later attended a professional design school, where she obtained her diploma. To improve her use of different painting techniques, she began attending artists’ studios. There, she learned the tricks of the trade in oil painting, watercolor, portraiture, ceramics, fabric painting, lithography, and graphic arts. The latter remained her passion, which she pursued in depth with Rina Riva at the Institute for Graphic Arts in Merano and the International Center of Graphic Arts in Venice, and then, from 2009, at the Kunstakademie in Bad Reichenhall (D) with Prof. Jo Bukowski.   Her exhibition activity began in 1978. She has participated in over a hundred solo and group exhibitions in Italy (Bolzano, Cagliari, Florence, Rome, Padua, Trento, Trieste, Venice) and Austria (Innsbruck), Luxembourg, and Germany (Wuppertal, Bad Reichenhall).   However, her university studies led her toward an administrative profession, which she accepted by taking a position at the Bolzano Chamber of Commerce.
