Loris Bortolin - Abstract Explosion

Loris Bortolin is a self-taught painter. In the early 1970s, he began experimenting with creating some master copies, inspired in particular by Giorgio Morandi's still lifes. He then put down his canvases and brushes for a long time. In the early 2000s, he finally rediscovered the pleasure of painting, favoring oil on canvas. Loris is drawn to landscapes, particularly the mountains with their pristine nature and the tranquility of the woods. He loves to express the atmosphere of the four seasons on canvas with plays of light and shadow, making tangible the sensations and emotions felt in close contact with the elements. He particularly loves playing with the warm colors of autumn, recreating a dreamlike atmosphere, tranquility, and anticipation. His interest lies in well-known painters such as Van Gogh and Monet, but also in lesser-known artists such as P. Lande. Loris also enjoys experimenting with abstract art, communicating emotions through the hidden and veiled effect of things. He creates commissioned paintings . Loris participates in the art exhibition First International PitturiAmo Prize (Brunelleschi International Prize), held at Palazzo Ximènes Panciatichi, Florence , from January 19 to 21, 2018.
