Description of the work
Description of the work
Painter Liliana Scocco Cilla lives and works in Ravenna and is the founder of "Digitism." This artistic language perfectly embodies one of the most important themes of contemporary art, and specifically of the abstract expressionist genre: the concept of gesture. Liliana Scocco Cilla establishes a direct relationship with the canvas, eliminating the mediation of any medium. Using her fingers, the artist can pour her sensitivity onto the pictorial medium and communicate it to the viewer without any filter. Her artistic production, therefore, is grounded in subjectivity and spirituality, yet in its abstraction adheres to firm principles of harmony and composition. The role of color is fundamental, in its luminous tones and dense, almost relief-like texture.
