Landscape near home - Lombardy

During my walks in the serenity of the flat Lombardy plain, I wanted to capture its beauty in rich, textured oil on wood. A sprawling golden cornfield shimmers under the gentle embrace of sunlight, its golden tones ranging from deep amber to soft pale yellow.
Winding through the cornfield is a meandering path, its earthy tones contrasting beautifully with the vibrant gold of the crops.
The path invites the viewer’s eye to wander into the painting & journey through this tranquil landscape. Along its edges, patches of wildflowers bloom, adding pops of color—hints of violet, white, and pink—that draw attention to the natural beauty surrounding the path.
In the background, scattered trees painted in soft greens and muted browns lead up to a moody sky that suggests a menacing storm at dusk.
