IMPERIAL MICHELE - Tree

An art and technology teacher, he devotes himself to painting and sculpture, and lives and works in Turin. He creates Silent Book sculptures, books without words, based exclusively on sculpted images. Each book is dedicated to a significant figure in our history or a current topic. The Artist states that “...communicating with images fosters encounters and exchanges between different cultures and aids understanding...I use the book form because books have always been chosen to describe important and historical events...My works are also a denunciation of the frivolity with which today's culture is constructed and defined, where digital has supplanted paper and other material objects...”. Michele Imperiale has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions. His most recent shows include Paratissima 2024 in Turin and a solo show at Venaria Reale. He has won several awards and his works have been published in magazines and newspapers.
