Description of the work
Description of the work
Giuliana Capocchia, known professionally as Giugj, is an artist from Corciano who proposes a new, citationist vision, suspended between classicism and metaphysics. Like the great master De Chirico, Giuliana Capocchia selects her subjects from an ideal image gallery and combines them into alienating, enigmatic compositions suspended in time. The female body is often the protagonist, a full exaltation of plastic and formal values. Giuliana Capocchia's technique enhances volumes with a clean linearity and a compact application of color.
