Giovanna Raffaelli was born on April 20, 1945, in Alzano Lombardo, in the province of Bergamo. Her family later moved to Rome, where she completed all of her cultural studies from the very beginning. In 1962 , he earned a Master of Arts degree from the Zileri Art Institute in Rome. In 1964 , he earned a high school diploma in art from the state art school in Rome. In 1966 , he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in scenography from the Academy of Fine Arts, also in Rome. Over the years, he has participated in several group art exhibitions, earning numerous awards and recognitions for his promising artistic work. On November 13, 1970, she received her Doctor of Architecture degree from La Sapienza University of Rome. In March 1971, she obtained her professional practice qualification and, in the same year, she registered with the Order of Architects of Rome, Frosinone, Rieti, and Viterbo. Between 1970 and 1975 he lived in Salerno where he worked as an architect and painted several works, especially portraits. In 1979 , 1980, 1981 and 1982 he participated in various editions of the "Roman Exhibition of the International Group of Tavolettisti" held twice a year and organised by the "La bottega di mastro Gigi" gallery in Rome. On October 30, 1980 , she participated in the thirty-second "Exhibition of Figurative Arts" organized by the "La Fucina" Academy, at the "La Caravella" gallery, Rome. On this occasion, she won the second prize for painting. On November 22 of the same year, she participated in the "I painting competition" organized by the Federconsorzi group's employees' club, winning a medal . From July 25 to August 15 , 1982 , she participated in the fourth edition of the art exhibition organized by the P. Aldi and P. Pascucci Academy of Manciano (GR), and on September 26, in the "VI international exhibition" of the "Praxis" artistic association in Colleferro (RM). In both exhibitions, she won awards . On October 23 of the same year, she was awarded the " Oscar of Monte Carlo ", a worldwide recognition for the figurative and literary arts, in Monte Carlo. Over the years he has also participated in various exhibitions in other Italian cities: Milan, Rimini, Spoleto and in the province of Rome (Monterotondo, S. Marinella, Poggio Nativo). In September 1984 he participated in the "VIII edition of the art exhibition" in Colleferro (RM), winning a cup . In December 1986 he competed for the "Medusa Aurea Award", organized by the AIAM artistic association, winning a " Mention ". In February 1988 , she exhibited her works in a solo show at the "Montecitorio" club in Rome, and in November of the same year, again in a solo show , at the "Ufficiali della Marina Militare" club in Livorno. In December, she was awarded the "Thirty Best Artists of the Year" trophy , organized by "Arteuropa" in Milan. In May 1989 , she again participated in the "Medusa Aurea Award" and won third prize . In 1991 he participated in a semi-solo exhibition at the "Il Quadriportico" gallery on Via S. Sebastiano (Piazza di Spagna), Rome. In 1992 he exhibited his works in another solo exhibition at the "Il Canovaccio" gallery on Via delle Colonnette, Rome. In June 1994 he exhibited again in person at the "Il Compasso" gallery in Rome and, immediately after, in a group exhibition at the "Il Canovaccio" gallery. In June, September, and December of the same year, he participated in several group exhibitions at the "Il Compasso" art studio in Rome. In December 1995 he exhibited his works again in a solo exhibition at the "Art Gallery" on Via Margutta 102, Rome. Immediately afterwards he participated in the group exhibition "Artisti in mostra," organized to mark the bicentenary of John Keats's birth at the "Quadrato di idea" cultural center on Via Panisperna, Rome. On November 7, 1996, he opened another solo exhibition in Milan at the "Ars Italica" gallery on Via Marconi, near Piazza Duomo. In January 1997, he participated in the 2nd International Biennial of Contemporary Art, organized by CIAC at the "Sale del Bramante" in Rome. On February 8 of the same year, he participated in the cultural event "The Techniques of the 20th Century" at the "Quadrato di Idea" cultural center on Via Panisperna in Rome. In December, he participated in the "Natale a Roma" exhibition organized by CIAC at the Conference Hall of the Province of Rome, Palazzo Valentini, earning a silver star . In 1998, he participated in three more group exhibitions and exhibited twice in person . The first was in May in Rome, at the "Gilda Arte" on Via Mario dei Fiori, and the second in Bergamo, at the Provincial Department of Culture. In May 1999 , again in Rome, he participated in the "Artitalia" award ceremony at the Bramante Halls. In May 2000 he exhibited in a semi-personal exhibition at the Gesù e Maria gallery in Via del Corso, 45 in Rome and in June at the III Roman Biennial at the "Sale del Bramante" in Rome, obtaining a silver medal . In November at the artists' church: in the sacristy of Santa Maria in Montesanto, also in Rome, he exhibited in the company of a sculptor and at the end of the year he participated in the exhibition "Homage to Rome" at the "Gesù e Maria" gallery in Via del Corso. In January 2001 he participated in the exhibition "Jubilee Events" at the gallery of the International Academy of St. Augustine in Via del Corso, 45 Rome and in February he inaugurated a solo exhibition at the "Il Quadriportico" gallery of the San Giuseppe Demerode Institute near Piazza di Spagna in Rome. He subsequently participated in three group exhibitions. The first was abroad: at the "Italian Art" exhibition at Porta Westfalica for "Bella Italia" in Minden, Germany. The second in March in Rome: "Goal" organized by the Gangemi publishing house at the cultural center of the magazine "Idea" in Via Panisperna and the third in June: "Solidarity with Four Legs" organized by ETLI at Palazzo Valentini, also in Rome. At the end of the year, in November, another semi-solo exhibition was inaugurated at the "Gesús e Maria" gallery in Via del Corso in Rome. The following year, In 2002 , the artist was privileged to donate to His Holiness Pope John Paul II one of his works, which had been deeply felt, created, and dedicated to him during his meetings with young people. The work depicts His Holiness in a portrait in the paternal act of pastoral welcome and blessing of a crowd of exultant young people. On October 9, during a beautiful audience in St. Peter's Square, the artist was able to personally present the work to the Holy Father and receive the Apostolic Blessing along with his entire family. In January 2003 he participated in the exhibition "The Crusades in Time and Current Affairs" at the International Academy of Saint Augustine in Via del Corso in Rome. In January 2004, he participated in the exhibition dedicated to "Human flight from Icarus to our days" at the Gesù e Maria gallery, and was awarded a silver plaque donated by the Senate of the Republic . In March of the same year, the artist completed an oil painting of considerable size: 1.30 x 2.30 m. The work tells the story of an ancient family whose roots date back to the last century of the first millennium. In the form of a family tree illustrated with symbols, objects, references, weapons, cartouches and coats of arms, the artist recounts the succession of the main events that have characterized its life for more than a millennium. Furthermore, on May 4th, he inaugurated a solo exhibition at the same gallery. gallery in Via del Corso, Rome. In 2005, she participated in the exhibition "The Navy in Time and Current Affairs," which opened in April at the Italian Navy Officers' Club in Rome. After touring ten Italian naval bases, she returned to Rome on December 10th to attend the awards ceremony at the "Studio del Canova." The artist received a " Crest " as a prize, donated by the clubs hosting the exhibition. In 2006 , the artist participated in the "Art and Sport from Olimpia to the Present Day" exhibition, held on January 10th at the Sala Zanardelli in the Vittoriano complex in Rome, and won a cup donated by the Sant'Agostino International Academy. He also participated in the Olimpia Art Standing exhibition, organized by Mediapolis and inaugurated in February at the Hotel Luna in Oleggio Castello (Stresa). In March 2007 the artist exhibited his numerous works in a solo anthology exhibition in the Barbo apartment in Palazzo di Venezia in Rome. On May 15th the artist participated in the international exhibition "Interconfessional Meetings" organized by the Director of the Sant Agostino International Academy Fiorello F. Ardizzon with the collaboration of Ruggero Romeo, at the Museum of Musical Instruments in Piazza Santa Croce in Geruasalemme in Rome. During the summer he participated in several exhibitions: the first in Monte Carlo at the "Port Palace" Hotel from June 30th to July 2nd, organized by the "Echi d'Arte" gallery of Palermo; the second in Anacapri at the "San Nicola" art gallery in via San Nicola n° 4 from July 1st to 22nd organized by the "Crispi" gallery of Rome and the third, also organized by the same gallery, in Fiuggi at the "Silva Art Splendid" Hotel from July 28th to August 20th. Furthermore, in Lombardy he participated in several artistic events curated by the "Immagine Spazio Arte" gallery of Cremona. Subsequently, in December, he participated in the exhibition: "Music and Art" organized by the International Academy of Sant' Agostino, at the Museum of Musical Instruments in Rome.
In February 2009 , he participated in the artistic event: "San Paolo " Apostle of the Gentiles " which was held in the San Macuto complex at the Chamber of Deputies; in June instead he opened a personal exhibition in the Sacristy of the Basilica of Santa Maria in Montesanto, in Piazza del Popolo, Rome
In November he participated in the international exhibition of Sacred Art "Patrons of Europe and of the countries of the European Union, edited by Stefania Severi - Rome, Basilica of Santa Maria in Montesanto - Church of the Artists, from October 23 to November 16. The event then continued in Piazza Armerina, Diocesan Museum, from December 6 , 2009 to January 31, 2010. This year he participated in a group exhibition in Cremona at Palazzo Cattaneo from March 14 to 21 and in the "marmo macchine" fair in Carrara from April 24 to May 2.
In January 2011 he participated in an exhibition organized by the "Accademia Internazionale Sant' Agostino" dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy with two equestrian works, in the "l' Agostiniana" gallery in Piazza del Popolo in Rome.
The following year, 2012 , a solo exhibition opened at the same gallery on October 23rd, once again sponsored by the Sant'Agostino International Academy and presented by engineer Fiorello F. Ardizzon and Dr. Ruggero Romeo. Forty oil paintings and twenty watercolors were presented.
In May 2014, she participated in the artistic event: "VIII Capitolium Award 2014" organized by "Arte in Cammino". President and creator: Professor Angela Chiassai. Under the patronage of Rome Capital, the Province of Rome, and the Lazio Region, it took place with the patronage of Rome Capital, the Province of Rome, and the Lazio Region, at the "L'Agostiniana" Gallery in Piazza del Popolo, Rome. The artist won a cup as a prize for compositional and landscape art.
