Description of the work
Description of the work
Maria Gabriella Maglia, known professionally as Gabri, is an artist who lives and works in Lecco. Her symbolic work is based on a figurative language, which she uses to create elaborate iconographies with complex symbolic meanings. In Gabri's paintings, realistic elements and abstract movements combine to convey hidden, spiritually charged messages. For this reason, her depictions are characterized by a rapid stroke that synthesizes the subjects into iconic, highly evocative images. Forms are constructed from darting lines that follow sinuous movements. Color, with its luminous hues, confirms the spiritual and symbolic value of her works.
