Description of the work
Description of the work
An exceptional mixed media! Graphite and Oil Pastels. Graphite allows you to create detailed drawings, soft shading, and intense contrasts typical of London Fog. The bright colors of the Oil Pastels resemble oil paints, and this is due to the composition in which they are made. In oil pastels, the use of oils and waxes as a binder means that they never completely dry, allowing for infinite layering and giving the finished work a glossy surface. The colors are applied densely, through overlapping hatching. Key techniques include layering, blending (finger blending) that allow you to achieve fantastic color transitions.
