Flowers (1998)

In this 1998 work, Antonio Bernardi brings an explosion of chromatic energy and compositional rigor to the canvas. At the center of the scene, a cobalt blue vase holds a rich floral arrangement dominated by the warm tones of orange and golden yellow, skillfully balanced by the vivid green of the foliage. The deep blue background, solid and luminous, enhances every single petal through contrast, while the decorated drapery in the foreground gives depth and rhythm to the entire work. A perfect example of contemporary still life that blends the great Italian figurative tradition with a pure and vibrant harmony of colors.
