Looking at it, we might assume it's a classic of Fabrizio's painting, but then we realize there's nothing ordinary or routine about it. A horizontal cut neatly divides the work in two: the upper part leaves the mind free to float in the blue space of the sky, and a dark section below that represents the everyday reality of earthly things. All things that materialize with a life of their own, grow, mature, and then come to an end. What remains to mark the time of the tree, which has a longer and more enduring life. A metaphor for earthly life, a highly personal representation, yet for this very reason beautiful and unique.
