Description of the work
Description of the work
Landscape has always been a central theme in artistic research, both as a setting, as a backdrop, and as a subject itself. The naturalistic depiction of landscape has been an artist's aspiration throughout the centuries. Each historical period has offered its own interpretation of landscape, contributing to the evolution of its depiction: first with an exploration of space, through Brunelleschi's perspective in the early Renaissance, then with atmospheric rendering in the sixteenth century, up until the depiction of every single vibration of light on objects in Impressionism.
In his paintings, Danieli's conception of landscape and still life perfectly matches the work's formal purity. Indeed, we note how the scene is always constructed according to a balanced system of clear volumes. A highly rational composition, therefore, that almost verges on geometrical detail but stops short of a representation still rooted in reality. However, the form is completely objectifying and produces a sense of suspension bordering on metaphysics. Typical of Danieli is the work's coherence within the overall tonal unity, using a palette of vivid and brilliant colors.
Artist F. Danieli has a highly complex vision of his work, one that revolves around the pursuit of absolute formal purity. This is expressed by the artist in a technique that enhances the geometry of volumes in a form that tends to be hyperrealistic and illusory.
