Description of the work
Description of the work
Daniela Di Pasquale was born in San Benedetto Del Tronto (AP) in 1990. At the age of 4, she discovered her natural talent for drawing, which immediately took a special place in her life, filling her days with paper, pencils, and colors. Having discovered her great passion early on, she enrolled in 2004 at the State Institute of Art in Fermo, majoring in Cultural Heritage Restoration, and graduated in 2009. In 2006, she participated in the "Archeoclub d’Italia" competition, creating a view of a church in Ripatransone, her current place of residence. In 2009, she exhibited a work (painting on wood) at the Pinacoteca di Fermo. In 2010, she devoted herself entirely to antique restoration. During the dark period of her mother's serious illness and subsequent loss, she dedicated herself completely to painting, attending a course taught by the painter Grazia Carminucci. In the summer of 2013, she participated in the "Arte insieme 2013" event at the "Pietraia dei poeti" Museum, created by the artist Marcello Sgattoni, in San Benedetto del Tronto. She also exhibited in conjunction with the "Work in progress" concert held at the Palazzina Azzurra in San Benedetto Del Tronto. Her most recent series of works takes inspiration from the neo-art movement "of the state of mind," founded by Master Antonio Apa, a proponent of "emo art." This led to the idea of creating a series of works entitled "CHILDREN'S DREAMS," intended to represent the visions and perceptions of early life that emerge in a mind that has just passed adolescence. The paintings aim to artistically materialize unconscious moods, inherently immaterial essences, with their burden of uncertainty, doubts, fears, but also hopes, enthusiasm, and authentic joys—deep, unconditioned emotions that can only belong to a pure soul, not yet corrupted by the limits and influences imposed by contemporary society. In October, she was selected for the "Notre art de Tourin 2013" art competition and the ITINERARTE exhibition in the city of Savigliano in Piedmont. In January 2014, she flew to Paris for the Art Paris 2014 award, then exhibited in Rome and at the Sanremo Festival, in conjunction with the Italian song festival. In March, she participated in the "pensiero in rosa" event at Villa Baruchello in Porto Sant'Elpidio. In April, she held a solo exhibition in Grottammare and was a guest at the "Arte9" studio in Rome, exhibiting alongside the renowned artist Riccardo Natili. In May, she participated in the major contemporary art event "WELCOME ARTE" at Villa Baruchello in Porto Sant'Elpidio, at the Marguttiana d'arte in Grottammare, and at the art exhibition in the Forum di Fermo. In June, she exhibited at the Ariston Theater in San Remo and was selected to participate alongside 139 national and international artists in the major contemporary art event in Piedmont, "ITINERARTE." Also in June, she participated in various group art exhibitions as a guest in Pedaso, Cupra Marittima, Carassai, Montefiore dell'Aso, Montedinove, Ripatransone, Salerno, and Nereto. In July, she WON the national "Premio Cupra 2014" competition in the emerging young artists section, selling the work immediately. A week later, she WON the international award in the Marche region, in the city of Montecosaro, in the "emerging young artists" section, and WON the "Special Jury Award."
