Column of Love

The work emerges as an explosion of life and light: a furnace of intense, iridescent colors, where red, orange, yellow, green, and blue blend in a vibrant, almost musical rhythm. For the artist, this column represents loved ones who have departed this earthly life—beloved presences that continue to vibrate in the heart and who, in the flow of colors, become light, movement, and memory. It is a work of emotion and gratitude: a way to transform the pain of loss into energy that rises, unites, and consoles.

But beyond personal experience, the painting speaks to everyone who observes it: it invites each of us to recognize, in that ascending array of shapes and colors, our own affections, our own absences, the invisible continuity of love. A column of love, therefore, that belongs to everyone.

Artist's note

“When inspiration strikes, I don't seek it: it's the colors that light up and reveal to me what wants to emerge. In this ascension, I saw the loved ones who have left me, and with them all the souls that continue to live in the hearts of those who remain. Wings are the symbol of the bond that cannot be broken, of the passage from matter to light.”
