Description of the work
Description of the work
...the Garden of the Muses is now abandoned: no longer do goddesses and patrons of the Arts perform...on Mount Parnassus, now merely a tourist destination, a few enthusiasts can be found: a harpist,
a guitarist and a jazz saxophonist...
By chance nearby ....a peacock, whose vanity no longer offends anyone...
Claudio Giovanni Amore is an artist who lives and works in Grosseto. Born in 1965, he is a musician, a master engraver, and more recently has also been dedicating himself to painting. In which he has found a highly personal style that draws on diverse stimuli and inspirations. Claudio Giovanni Amore's language is based, first and foremost, on a striking objectivity that plastically enhances the subjects and defines their contours, clearly separating them from the space. Color is distributed in compact chromatic zones, and the space is devoid of atmospheric effects. It is a language suited to surreal compositions, in line with the tradition of the historical avant-gardes and approaching movements such as Italian Magical Realism or German New Objectivity. Amore is no less remarkable in the complexity and eccentricity of his themes, which, moreover, are modulated according to different tendencies. In some cases, the distortion of bodies prevails; in others, a more pronounced geometrization, even reaching a veritable cubist deconstruction.
