The stylistic approach to the subject can be likened to the Naïve movement. The Naïve artist is by definition self-taught, someone who hasn't attended an art school but has found inspiration within themselves. Stylistically, this translates into figurative painting that offers a simplified interpretation of reality, with infantile and unconsciously primitivist overtones. However, even the Naïve artist, in his or her spontaneity, possesses a self-awareness that leads him or her to develop a very specific aesthetic language, distinguishing it from amateurism.

Chiesa's naive simplification is based on a rejection of pictorialism in the main subjects, the two felines standing out in all their objective, plastic form. The space, however, seems to be characterized by a certain formal disintegration caused by a more synthetic and rarefied brushstroke. The color palette does not reflect nature and lends an almost surreal feel, based on very warm tones.

Chiesa is a painter who has always displayed a marked naive attitude in his style. His desire to achieve a childishness in his representation is evident, with the aim of imbuing his artwork with primordial values ​​of purity and innocence.
